Many people in India are facing difficulties in completing UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transactions as (UPI) services across apps is down for several users across the country. The outrage has hugely affected users using PhonePe, Paytm and Google Pay. The outrage started at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.

A user on X with the user namer "Faraz Wadhwania" said sharing a screenshot of the homepage of the UPI app ,"#UPI is down, Cash wil always be the king."
Another user said, "I'm in a crowded restaurant during peak hours, GPay is down, I have no cash in my pocket, and the cashier is staring at me."
Another user, Yaswanth Sai Palaghat said, "UPI is down for the first time & it is already showing an impact. Most of us already stopped carrying liquid cash & this downtime has created a do or die situation Elders were right about carrying cash."
Another user share a popular meme of actor Amitabh Bachan's popular line from the quiz show KBC, "Meri taraf mat dekhiye main aapki koi sahayata nahi kar paunga."
And how can we miss the evergreen, "Jaldi kar subah Panvel nikalna hai" from Golmaal 3.
According to Downdetector, there were over 3,000 complaints from users who reported with the UPI.
