Auraiya: A shocking incident surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya district, where a woman allegedly hired contract killers to murder her husband just two weeks after marriage. The 22-year-old woman reportedly hatched a murder plan with her lover. The incident came to light just a week after a meerut murder case that sent shockwaves across the nation.
The accused have been identified as Pragati Yadav and Anurag Yadav. They have been in a relation for the past four years. The police received information about a man lying injured in a field on March 19, Sahar SHO Pankaj Mishra told PTI on Monday.
The victim, Dilip Yadav, was admitted to the community health centre in Bidhuna and his family members were informed. Later Dilip was later taken to Saifai Hospital and subsequently to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and then to Agra, reported PTI. However, his condition worsened and his family admitted him to a hospital in Auraiya on March 20. He died on March 21.
How Pragati and Anurag got Dilip killed?
Anurag alias Manoj hired a contract killer, Ramji Chuadhary. for Rs two lakh to kill Dilip on the instruction of Pragati. Police scanned the CCTV installed near Ramj Nagar area and identified the accused. All the three accused were arrested.
Search for other people involved in the crime is underway.
"As part of the cameras installed in Operation Trinetra, we identified one person, Ramji Nagar. We deployed teams to look for him and today he and his aide have been arrested. We also found that another aide of the two arrested people, Anurag Yadav, was in a relationship with deceased Dilip Yadav's wife, Pragati Yadav, for the last four years," Superintendent of Police (SP) Auraiya Abhijeet R Shanka told ANI.
"It was also found that Anurag Yadav planned the whole murder on instructions of Pragati Yadav... Anurag had a deal with Ramji Nagar at a cost of Rs 2 lakhs... We are looking for others involved in the conspiracy...", Shankar added.
Meerut Murder Case:
Last week a shocking case surfaced from UP's Meerut district where a former merchant navy officer, Saurabh Rajput, was allegedly murdered by his wife and her lover on March 4. However, the matter came to light on March 18. After killing Rajput, his wife, Muskaan Rasttogi and her lover, Sahil Shukle, chopped his body into pieces, and put them into a drum and covered it with cement. The accused then went to Himachal Pradesh on vacation. Both the accused were arrested.
