On January 4, the BJP released the first list of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi polls. The included key candidates, including Parvesh Verma and Ramesh Bidhuri. Notably, Verma is contesting against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi, while Bidhuri will contest against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi from the Kalkaji seat.

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Legislative Assembly election will be held on February 5. Votes will be counted on February 8 and the results will be declared on the same day. In these polls, the main contest will be between the AAP and the BJP. Meanwhile, the Congress will also be eyeing to end its 10-year drought in Delhi. The grand old party failed to open its account in the previous two assembly polls.
