A shocking video has surfaced on social media showing a man with a machete, abusing and threatening the son of the famous Chintamani Ganesh temple's priest, whilst demanding money.
According to reports, the accused pointed a sharp weapon at the priest Jai Dubey's son and a devotee named Lokesh Soni, and attempted to attack them. The accused also issued death threats.
The priest has shared the video of this incident, which occurred on Saturday afternoon, on social media. He has also lodged a complaint against the accused at Mandi police station. Following this, a case has been registered against the accused and he has been arrested.
In the viral video, the accused can be heard hurling abuses at priest's son while threateing him.
Sehore CSP Abhinandana Sharma stated that based on the written complaint, police have registered a case against the accused Mahesh Yadav under sections 296, 351(2) of the Indian Justice Code and section 25 of the Arms Act. Further legal proceedings are being carried out in the matter.
The accused has been identified as Mahesh Yadav. The video shows the accused Mahesh Yadav scuffling with the priest's son and the devotee inside the temple. He is threatening them by showing them a sharp weapon.
In the video, the accused can be heard saying that if he doesn't receive the money within 24 hours, he will carry out a major attack. It is reported that the accused had spent money for the temple priest in connection with a case. The priest was not returning the money. He had come to the temple to recover this money.
The Chintamani Ganesh temple in Sehore where this incident occurred is famous not only in Madhya Pradesh but across the entire country.
