Congress MP Vishnu Prasad was trapped in a lift while heading to a party function at a hostel in Vadalur, Cuddalore district.
After an hour-long effort, the lift was broken open, and he was successfully rescued.
Following an hour of struggle, the fire department broke open the lift and brought Vishnu Prasad out. A video of the rescue effort has surfaced on social media.
The video shows the Congress MP coming out of the lift. As he comes out, 6-7 others can also be seen exiting the lift.
In December last year, a 36-year-old Milkman got trapped in the enclosed lift of an 11-story residential building in Maharashtra's Thane. He was safely rescued approximately 24 minutes after he got trapped in the lift.
In the same month, two people were safely evacuated after their car became trapped in an automatic lift at a 20-story residential building in Thane.
The RDMC identified the rescued individuals as Girish Jadhav and Namrata Jadhav, residents of the same building. The incident occurred at a high-rise located in Shastri Nagar, Pokhran Road No. 1, Thane West.
