Sri Lankan court extends remand of Indian fishermen

Rameswaram: A court in Sri Lanka today extended till January three next year the remand of 30 fishermen, arrested by the island nation’s navy.

The fishermen, hailing from Pudukottai and Rameswaram, were arrested by the navy last month on charges of fishing in Sri Lankan waters.

The court in Mallagam extended their remand till January three next year, official sources said.
