A shocking incident surfaced from Rajasthan's Dausa, where a 25-year-old man was allegedly strangled to death in Rajasthan's Dausa district on Wednesday for refusing to apply holy colours.

Dausa: A shocking incident surfaced from Rajasthan's Dausa, where a 25-year-old man was allegedly strangled to death in Rajasthan's Dausa district on Wednesday. According to reports, three men, identified as Ashok, Bablu and Kaluram came to a library in Ralwas village to apply Holi colours on Hansraj. The incident was caught on CCTV installed in the library and the video started doing rounds on social media.

However, the 25-year-old man stopped the three accused from applying colours as he was preparing for competitive exams, reported Outlook India. A scuffle broke between Hansarj and the accused. The trio started assaulting Hansraj and then strangled him to death with a belt.

In the video, it could be seen that Hansraj wnet outside the library as the three accused came. However, in a few seconds an altercation broke out between them and they entered the library. One of the accused could be seen strangulating Hansraj with a belt. Soon the 25-year-old man collapsed.

"As Hansraj refused to be smeared with colours, the trio kicked him and thrashed him with belts, before one of them strangled him to death," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dinesh Agarwal said as quoted by PTI.

Hansraj's family members and villagers staged a protest with his body and even reportedly blocked the national highway in the area. The protest continued till 1 am on Thursday. The protesters even demanded the immediate arrest of the accused, compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the deceased's family and a government job to one of its family members.

The protest was called off after the police assured of strict action against the accused. A detailed investigation has been launched into the mater. The police have launched a manhunt operation to nab the three men.
