Ahead of the Holi celebrations in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, the administration has carried out intense security preparations around the city to ensure peace. Police personnel in large numbers conducted a flag march in the district. Visuals of the flag march have been shared by news agency ANI.
In one of the videos, Sambhal CO Anuj Chaudhary can be seen leading a team of police personnel as they conduct a flag march ahead of Holi celebrations on Friday.
Uttar Pradesh Police is putting all possible measures in place to ensure no untoward incident happens on Holi, as this year, Jumma Namaz and Holi are set to occur on the same day.
Earlier today, Jama Masjid was covered with a tarpaulin sheet following instructions from the local administration.
Sambhal ASP Shreesh Chandra said all 10 religious places that fall on the traditional route taken by the Holi procession will be covered so that no sentiments are hurt, reported ANI.

In light of the festival, security measures have been heightened, with district intelligence networks being activated and all personnel instructed to maintain vigilance. Additionally, the police have issued a directive prohibiting any "new traditions" from being introduced during festivals.
