Sadhguru's Isha Foundation on Friday (January 24) lashed out against what it called was 'manipulate image' showing Sadhguru in handcuffs. The image, apparently posted by an account by the name 'Indianews 5' shows the head of Isha Foundation, having distressed expressions on his face, in handcuffs. He appears to be flanked by two people who look like officials. Sadhguru is shown clad in blue outfit which is a far cry from his usual attire.

The image in the original post, which appears to say that it was 'tragic end to Sadhguru's career', has words 'Goodbye Sadhguru' in bold.

A defiant Isha Foundation has posted the image with a 'Fake News' stamp. The foundation alleged that the 'manipulated image' was result of efforts from those making 'extortionist demands'.

Saying that all activities of Isha Foundation were 'well above board with law', the post says that irrespective of accusations and cases made against Isha Foundation, it was not deterred as they was no substance in any of them.

Isha Foundation has been beset with legal troubles for some time but Supreme Court of India gave relief to Sadhguru last October when it dismissed case against Isha Foundation which was being tried in Madras High Court.

A man had approached the court saying that his two daughters had been 'brainwashed' and were held at ashram of Isha Foundation against their will.

The bench headed by former chief justice of India DY Chandrachud said that both women were adults when they entered the ashram. Isha Foundation maintained that both women were 'willing residents' of the ashram. Speaking to the father, the court said that he could not 'control' lives of his daughters.
