Kolkata: Ramkrishna Math and Mission without naming slammed TMC heavyweight leader Nirmal Maji for equating Saradha Devi with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Addressing the media, Ramkrishna Mission and Math’s general secretary Swami Subirananda said that nobody has ever come across any verse that said Saradha Devi days before her demise had said that she will come back and reside in Kalighat area of South Kolkata.
“Not just we from Ramkrishna Mission and Math but we have also discussed with several people but no one had ever heard of the thing that the TMC leader said about Saradha Devi. This is detrimental and is hurting Hindu sentiments. Such a comment should not be entertained,” said Swami Subirananda.
Earlier on June 26, Nirmal Maji addressing his partymen said that days before the demise of Saradha Devi, she had told people that she will come back and along with ‘sacrifice’ she will also be involved ‘politically’ to serve mankind.
Maji also claimed that Saradha devi is born in the form of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Ramkrishna and Vivekananda researcher Gopendra Chowdhury said that he had no words to slam anyone who equates the saints with common people.
“I have been studying about Ramakrishna and Vivekananda but I have never heard what Nirmal Maji had said. I am speechless and don’t know what to tell a person like him,” claimed Chowdhury.
BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh said that the TMC leaders have ‘broken all limits’ to ‘oil’ Mamata Banerjee.
State Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury sarcastically said that all the saints of the world are present inside TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee.
“I wonder why didn’t Mamata didi didn’t get the Nobel prize and I think I should inquire about this as all the saints including Rabindranath Tagore, Albert Einstein and other saints of the world are present inside Mamata Banerjee,” slammed Chowdhury.
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said that to show ‘love’ for the Chief Minister Maji had made a ‘bad’ comment.
