Security at Ram Mandir Temple in Ayodhya has been increased after the temple trust received a mail threatening to blow up the newly constructed temple.

A case has been registered in Ayodhya's cyber thana. After receiving the complaint, the cyber cell launched an investigation into the case.

According to reports, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust received a threat mail on Monday night. The mail threatened temple authorities to increase security on the temple premises.

After this, an extensive search operation was carried out. Alert levels were raised not only in Ayodhya but also in Barabanki and other neighboring districts. In connection with the matter, Mahesh Kumar, the accounts officer at the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust office, has filed a complaint.

Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, who lives in Canada, had also issued a video in November threatening an attack on the Ram Temple. In a purported video message, Pannu said that there would be bloodshed at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on November 16–17. Following this, the Ayodhya administration heightened its vigilance, as the Ram Vivah Utsav (wedding celebration of Lord Ram) is held at the temple on November 18.

Responding to the threat, Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi had said that Lord Hanuman is guarding Ayodhya, and no one would dare to attack the city.

Ayodhya is already a high-security zone, and the security personnel deployed here are trained to deal with terrorist threats. Security measures are reviewed periodically, and the entire city is monitored through CCTV and drone cameras.
