Rajasthan: Markets to open from tomorrow; check out new guildelines

After a considerable dip in new and active cases of Covid-19 in Rajasthan, the government has decided to open markets from Wednesday. Although some conditions have been laid out to resume business activities.

Rajasthan has witnessed a sharp dip in Covid infection cases in the last 18 days. There were 2.11 lakh active cases in the state on May 13 which decreased to 42,654 on May 31 and news cases have also dropped from more than 18,000 a day to less than 1,500.

Looking at the improved situation, the government has decided to implement a modified lockdown from June 2 The new guidelines allow the markets to open but only from 6 am to 11 am and for four days a week.

Furthermore, the permission will be given to only those districts where the positivity rate is less than 10 per cent or occupancy of oxygen, ICU and ventilator beds are less than 60 per cent.

22 out of 33 districts of the state are coming in these criteria, although district collectors have been authorized to decide for rest of the cities.

The public transport will resume from June 10 if the situation improves.

The government offices will open with a 25 per cent workforce from Wednesday and the weekend curfew will continue till the active cases are reduced to less than 10,000.
