Rajasthan: 62-Year-Old Man Allegedly Kills Business Partner's Children In Jodhpur Over 'Betrayal'

The incident happened in Boranada and the children’s bodies were found on Sunday, two days after they were reported missing by their family. The accused was living in Jodhpur with a fake identity for years.

In a shocking incident, a 62-year-old man in Jodhpur, Rajasthan allegedly picked up his business partner’s two children, killed them and hanged their bodies in a bangle factory in the name of their father’s “betrayal”. 

The incident happened in Boranada and the children’s bodies were found on Sunday, two days after they were reported missing by their family. The accused was living in Jodhpur with a fake identity for years. 

Police said that in the note recovered from the spot, the accused purportedly admitted to killing the children due to their father’s betrayal and his intent to commit suicide.

DCP East of Jodhpur Rajarshi Raj Verma said "for the murder of Tamanna aka Tannu (12) and his brother Shivpal (8) son Pradeep Pal, the police have arrested Mukund Thanvi (62) from Rajsamand. The accused was living as Shyam Singh Bhati in Jodhpur. By making fake Aadhaar and PAN cards, he had opened a bangle manufacturing factory with Pradeep Pal. 

The officer said that preliminary interrogation, revealed that before the murder, Mukund had told the children that he was killing them because of their father's betrayal. The children were familiar with the accused and used to call him Dada. 

On Friday, the accused Mukund came to Pradeep Pal's house in the morning and took the children (Tamanna and Shivpal) on the pretext of dropping at school. As the children did not return and the accused was not receiving the phone, Pradeep Pal lodged a report at Bornada police station.

In the report, Pradeep named Shyam Singh Bhati. When the police reached his house, the children were found hanged from the hook of the fan in the room. 

The police have arrested the accused, Mukund Thanvi from Rajsamand who was living in Jodhpur as Shyam Singh Bhati son of Kishore Singh Bhati for the last 20 years. With fake IDs he started a bangle factory in partnership with Pradeep Pal, who is a bangle maker. A dispute arised between both around 25 days ago and for taking the revenge, Mukund killed Tamanna and Shivpal, said police.
