The Railways has decided to implement temporary changes in the termination points of several Mumbai-bound trains due to ongoing platform extension work at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). The project aims to improve capacity and enhance passenger convenience at Mumbai CSMT.
Train No. 22120 Madgaon Jn. – Mumbai CSMT Tejas Express will terminate at Dadar station until 31st January 2025. Similarly, Train No. 12052 Madgaon Jn. – Mumbai CSMT Janshatabdi Express will also terminate at Dadar station until 31st January 2025.
Additionally, Train No. 12134 Mangaluru Jn. – Mumbai CSMT Express will be short-terminated at Thane station instead of its regular destination, Mumbai CSMT, up to January 31, 2025.
"The adjustments are necessary to facilitate the extension work on Platforms 12 and 13 at Mumbai CSMT, which is part of a critical infrastructure enhancement project," said an official.
"Passengers traveling on the affected trains are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and make alternative arrangements for onward travel from Dadar or Thane," he added.
