Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been admitted to a hospital in Delhi.
The CM was admitted for treatment in Delhi's Apollo Hospital on Wednesday after a complaint of stomach ache. As per the information, Mann was diagnosed with an infection.
Mann complained of severe stomach ache in Chandigarh after which he was airlifted to Delhi urgently and admitted to the hospital.
Earlier, on July 17, the Punjab CM had visited Sultanpurlodhi where a video was shared by AAP Punjab on Twitter of Bhagwant Mann drinking polluted water containing sewage waste from towns and villages falling in the sacred Kali Bein rivulet.
This action of his could be the result of a stomach infection.
Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal during a media interaction with the “Vartalap” function organised by the Press Information Bureau of the government of India confirmed that CM had consumed the sewage polluted water.
As per the media reports, the CM has been admitted to a private ward in the hospital and his health condition is normal.
