Famous sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has crafted an impressive sand sculpture at Puri Beach in Odisha, greeting the Union Budget 2025. The piece, crafted from four tonnes of sand, displays the phrase "Welcome Union Budget 2025" and showcases Pattnaik's talent and ingenuity.

Pattnaik, a recipient of the Padma Shri award, shared his enthusiasm regarding the Budget, mentioning that the attention of the nation and the globe is focused on it.

Taking to X, Pattnaik stated, "I join other Indians with much excitement #UnionBudget2025. I welcome the Budget through my sandart in Puri beach, Odisha."

He has taken part in more than 65 global sand art contests and festivals, earning various awards for India. He operates a sand art school at Puri Beach in Odisha.

In an interview with ANI, Pattnaik mentioned that he made the sand art using four tonnes of sand, featuring the words "Welcome Union Budget 2025."

"I have created a sand art welcoming the Union Budget 2025. This art is created by 4 tonnes of sand with the message of Welcome Union Budget 2025 written on it. The eyes of the country and the world are on the Union Budget 2025, which will be presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman," he told ANI.

The sand artist from Odisha has raised awareness about various social issues through his art, including HIV, AIDS, climate change, combating terrorism, reducing plastic waste, COVID-19, and environmental conservation, among others.

The Union Budget for 2025-26, which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present, is anticipated to find a middle ground between economic growth and fiscal responsibility. The Budget session will last until February 13, with both Houses resuming on March 10 following the recess. The session will end on April 4.
