New Delhi : The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Sunday arrested a person on the India-Nepal border and seized from him 1.1 kg of Methamphetamine synthetic drug valued at Rs six crore in the international market, an official said, according to a report by IANS.

Accused Shanker Ghosh was arrested by the SSB’s 41st battallion personnel in Ranidanga area of West Bengal on a tip-off.

“Ghosh was coming from Nepal with two boxes of the synthetic drug. Ghosh and the seized contraband were later handed over to the local police who are questioning him,” the officer said.

The seized drug is the purest form of Methamphetamine, a strong stimulant and is more potent than cocaine, reports PTI.
