Kolkata : Months after a professor was arrested for circulating emails mocking Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, the party’s student wing has filed a police complaint against a college student for a similar act.
The complaint was registered at Bidhanagar North Police Station Thursday against Ram Nayan Chowdhury, a student of Bidhanagar Government College in the north-eastern fringes of the city.
The graphics that Chowdhury shared with others on social networking site Facebook depict a caricature of Banerjee with comments in Bengali.No police action taken against student, but Chowdhury is apprehensive.
