Noida: A terrifying road rage incident in Noida’s Sector 53, has captured the city's attention after a Mahindra Thar SUV deliberately ploughed into a young man following an argument believed to have originated on social media. The dramatic moment was caught on CCTV and has since gone viral.

Online Feud Turns Violent on the Streets

What began as a seemingly petty Instagram exchange spiralled into a life-threatening attack on road. According to police officials, both individuals involved knew each other and had been engaged in a digital confrontation.

“There was a dispute between the two parties under the police station Sector-24 area to comment on the social media platform. Both sides are familiar with each other,” Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), Noida, Sumit Kumar Shukla, told NDTV.

According to reports, the altercation escalated quickly after the two men encountered each other on the street. As tensions escalated, in a shocking act of aggression, the driver of the black Mahindra Thar is seen in CCTV footage accelerating towards the victim, violently striking him and hurling him into a roadside drain. The attack left the young man bleeding and motionless as the SUV fled the scene without pause.

Police Launch Manhunt

Police have registered a case under relevant sections for rash and negligent driving, causing hurt, and criminal intimidation. Additionally, special team has been constituted to track down the absconding driver.

“Police team has been formed for the arrest of the accused, registering the prosecution under the relevant sections by the police station Sector-24,” ADCP Shukla further told the publication.
