Rajnandgaon : An exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the Naxals in the insurgency-hit Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituency of Chhattisgarh where polling was held on Thursday. No causalities were reported.
“The incident took place under Khadgaon police station limits of Rajnandgaon district while a polling party escorted by joint team of ITBP (Indo Tibetan Border Police) and the district police force was returning after polling in Kamkasur region,” a senior police official said.
