RANGIA (ASSAM): A 12-year old boy was abducted and killed for ransom by a man at Changsari in Kamrup (Rural) district, police said. Nipen Nath, a class six student of Changsari High School, was missing since Sunday afternoon. At 10 pm, his abductor Deepjyoti Kalita demanded Rs 10 lakh from the boy’s father for his release. Tracing his mobile tower, Deepjyoti was arrested on Monday. After confessing the crime, he led the police to the boy’s body which he had concealed in a box in his house.
