Bhopal: A special train going from Jhansi to Prayaraj was attacked with stones at Harpalpur station when passengers on the platform discovered the compartment doors were locked. Footage shared on social media depicts the men throwing stones at the train, breaking its windows while terrified passengers were seen screaming.

In a video, a passenger can be heard stating that the train departed from Jhansi station to Prayagraj at approximately 8 pm last night and as it arrived in Harpalpur station a the wee hours the train was attacked.

This unique train is operating for the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, attracting travelers from all over the nation. The majority of passengers getting onto the train are en route to the religious festival.

Reports indicate that numerous individuals were gathered at Harpalpur, roughly two hours away from Jhansi, to catch the train. However, they discovered the doors were locked when attempting to board the train.

The frustrated passengers became aggressive and began hurling stones at the carriages. They broke the windows of the train's doors, causing panic among the passengers within.

Harpalpur police station head Pushpak Sharma reported that individuals hurled stones at the train when it arrived at the railway station at approximately 2 am.
