Noida: A massive fire broke out in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on Tuesday. The blaze erupted at a multi-storey building in the city's Sector 18 area. Dramatic visuals showing people jumping from the windows of their houses to save their lives surfaced online.

In the visuals, it could be seen that an envelope of black smoke engulfed the area. Authorities rushed to the spot. A firefighting operation is currently underway to douse the fire.

The area where the blaze erupted is a crowded area near the Sector 18 metro station.

The reason for the blaze is not known.

So far there are no reports of any injuries or casualties due to the fire.

The fire in Sector 18 broke out a day after a massive blaze engulfed two cooler manufacturing factories in Greater Noida's Ecotech-3, Extension-2.. Several nearby units were evacuated as flames spread rapidly, leading to chaos and reportedly a stampede on the roads.
