'Main Waqt Aane Par Sailab..: Raghav Chadha's Veiled Warning To AAP After RS Snub; Latter Says 'You're Scared Of PM'

AAP MP Raghav Chadha, dropped as Rajya Sabha deputy leader, questioned if raising public issues in Parliament is a “crime”. In a video on X, he warned, “Do not mistake my silence for my defeat.” The party replaced him with Punjab MP Ashok Mittal, sparking surprise given Chadha’s close ties with AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha on Friday issued his first remarks since being dropped by his party as Rajya Sabha deputy leader. In a video message posted on X, Chadha asked if it was a “crime” to raise issues related to public interest in Parliament. “Have I done something wrong?”, Chadha was heard asking in the clip.

“Whenever I got a chance to speak in Parliament, I raised public issues. The topics nobody raises, but is raising public issues a crime? Have I committed a crime? Have I made a mistake? Have I done something wrong?" Chadha asked in a video message posted on X.

“I am asking this question because the Aam Aadmi Party told the Secretariat to stop Raghav Chadda from speaking in Parliament," he added.

In a veiled warning to the AAP, he said, "Meri khamoshi ko meri haar mat samaj lena, main wo dariya hu jo wakt ane par sailab banta hai."

Which roughly translates to: "Do not mistake my silence for my defeat; I am like a river that becomes a flood when the time comes."

Chadha’s message came after less than 24 hours after a dramatic turn of events took place on Thursday, after the Arvind Kejriwal-led Party dropped him from the post of deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and requested the Secretariat to not allow him floor time.

The party proposed the name of Punjab MP Ashok Mittal as his replacement as the party’s deputy leader in the Upper House.

The development has raised eyebrows, given Chadha’s long-standing proximity to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and his role as one of the party’s prominent national faces.

Raghav Chadha Scared Of PM Modi, BJP: AAP's Saurabh Bhardwaj

instantaneously senior AAP leader and close aide of Arvind Kejriwal posted a video on X in which he accused Raghav Chadha of being scared to target PM Modi and the BJP. He said Chadha hid himself out of the country while party chief and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested.

"Raghav Bhai We just saw your video. We are all soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal. Joh dar gaya woh mar gaya. Government is banning accounts of those who are raising their voice against it on social media handles, cases are being filed. Govt doesn't bother if someone is doing soft PR in the Parliament because a small party has a very limited time to speak there. Rather than talking about samosa it is important to raise bigger issues. Government is winning elections by deleting real voters' names and putting up bogus voters. Same thing is happening in West Bengal as well. Recently all Opposition parties brought an impeachment motion but you chose not to sign it. You never walk out whenever Opposition stages a walkout . I have observed you have never raised any issue against the prime minister and BJP government. How can one do politics by remaining afraid. You are scared to raise issues from Punjab where you've been elected to the Parliament. You have remainded silenced on the arrest of several AAP workers in Gujarat. When Arvind Kejriwal ji was jailed in a false case that time also you were not in the country and hid somewhere else... Your soft issues are not concerning for BJP. You need to reflect on from where your journey started and to where is it right now."
