Sambhalpur: Mahima Gosain Express train derailed at Odisha's Sambhalpur on Thursday, July 24. The train runs between Sambalpur and Shalimar stations. After receiving the information, police and railway officials reached the spot. The train derailed near Sambalpur City Station
As per the East Coast Railway, the rear trolley of a General Coach next to Guard Van train (20831) derailed near Sambalpur City Station. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
After the repair work, the train left for Sambalpur. The train was coming from Shalimar in Kolkata. The incident took place at around 9:20 am. Railway officials and local police have reached the site and shifted the passengers to another coach.
The guard of the train said that a major accident was avoided as the speed of the loco was very slow, reported news agency PTI.

According to reports, train movement on the route was disrupted for a brief period of time. Railway officials, including the DRM oversaw the resumption of the route.
Earlier this month, a goods train derailed at Monkey Hill in Bhor Ghat on the Mumbai-Pune route.The traffic on the route was slightly affected with two trains halted including CSMT - Chennai Superfast Express and Jodhpur -Hadapsar Superfast Express.
