Maha Kumbh 2025: Uttar Pradesh Speeds Up Land Allocation For Grand Mela Festive

Mahakumbh 2025 preparations in Prayagraj are accelerating under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has directed officials to complete land allocations by December 31, benefitting over 4,000 organizations with 8,000 to 10,000 expected attendees.

Mahakumbh Nagar: With Mahakumbh 2025 approaching, preparations in Prayagraj have gained significant momentum as the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, focuses on expediting the land allocation process.

During a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to complete all land allocations by Dec 31. Acting swiftly on his instructions, authorities have allocated land to over 4,000 organizations, with an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 participants expected to attend the grand spiritual gathering.

The establishment of Akharas, a major highlight of the event, is progressing steadily. Several Akharas have set up camps, and the Mela Authority has completed land allocation for them. Remaining allocations, including those for new applicants, are expected to be finalized by the end of December.

According to the Mela Authority, allocations have been completed for Akharas, their affiliated subgroups, Mahamandaleshwars, Khalsa, Dandiwada, Acharya wada, and Khakachowk. Meanwhile, the process for Prayagwal groups and new organizations is ongoing and will be concluded within the stipulated time frame.
