The Railways has denied rumors about the closure of the Prayagraj railway station, stating that Prayagraj Junction, along with seven other stations in the area, is fully operational. The Divisional Railway Manager of Western Railways' Mumbai Central division and the Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railways addressed the media on Monday in this regard.

"The eight stations, which include Prayagraj Chheoki, Naini, Subedarganj, Prayag, Phaphamau, Prayagraj Rambagh, and Jhusi, are fully functional. The only station that is temporarily closed is Prayagraj Sangam, which shuts down one day before and one day after normally any Amrit Snan, as a routine practice," said Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railways.

Similarly, the Divisional Railway Manager of Western Railways' Mumbai Central division also confirmed that the eight stations, including Prayagraj Junction, are fully functional.

The railways have urged passengers to ignore the rumors and continue to plan their journeys as usual, assuring them of uninterrupted services from the eight stations in the Prayagraj area.

"Despite the continued heavy rush, Indian Railways is working on a war footing to serve the devotees by bringing them in and taking them back home during the ongoing Mahakumbh. Even though the rush is not decreasing, Indian Railways, by running one train from these stations every four minutes, is ensuring that devotees do not have to wait after their holy bathing," said an official.
