Swati and Kanak Singh, students from Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow, have achieved remarkable success at the Uganda Para Badminton International Tournament 2025. Their performance has brought significant recognition, securing gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Swati distinguished herself by winning a silver medal in Women’s Singles SU-5, a gold in Women’s Doubles SL3-SU5, and a bronze in Mixed Doubles. Kanak Singh also earned two bronze medals in Women’s Singles SL-4 and Women’s Doubles. The tournament, held in Kampala, Uganda, from July 1 to 6, featured para-badminton athletes from over 50 countries.

Their achievements underscore the potential that can be unleashed when opportunities are provided, regardless of physical limitations.
