Chandigarh police on Monday recovered a live bombshell from a helipad which is just 500 meters away from Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's residence.
The CM was not at his house at the time of the incident.
A bomb disposal squad has reached the spot while an Army team was also dispatched in the area to bring the situation under control.
“A live bombshell has been found here. It has been secured with help of the Police and the Bomb Disposal Squad.
"An Army team has been called in. The area is being cordoned off. Further investigation is underway,” informed Sanjeev Kohli, the Nodal officer of Disaster Management Chandigarh.
