Life returned to normal in the border districts of Rajasthan as markets opened and restrictions were relaxed on the movement of people, although the blackout will continue in some areas. The Indian Railways has also resumed the cancelled trains.

The situation was relatively normal in the border areas of Bikaner as restrictions on movement in Khajuwala, Kolayat, Bajju, and other areas were relaxed. Markets have also reopened in the Nal area of Bikaner; however, the blackout will continue in the district. As per the order issued by the District Magistrate, the blackout is in force from 7 pm to 5 am and will be reviewed only after the meeting between the two countries on May 12.

In Barmer, where Pakistan carried out several drone attacks violating the ceasefire on Saturday night, life appeared normal with all markets open on Sunday. Drones were seen hovering in the sky near Jaliapa and Uttarlai at night. People reported an explosion after a suspicious object fell from the sky in Bhuratia village at 4:30 am on Sunday.

The situation also returned to normal in Jaisalmer and Sriganganagar, where the administration relaxed the Red Alert and allowed all daytime activities to resume. A shopkeeper said, “There was an atmosphere of fear on Friday and Saturday. Now that the markets have opened, it feels like life is getting back to normal.”

Meanwhile, the 16 cancelled trains in Rajasthan have also been resumed. Additionally, 11 partially cancelled trains will now run on their scheduled routes.
