RJD president and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav who was sentenced to five years imprisonment last month in the fodder scam case was today shifted to AIIMS, New Delhi in an air ambulance after his health worsened in the paying ward of Ranchi's Rajendra Institutes of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
Three doctors, Bihar MP Ms Misa Bharti, and Lalu's daughter accompanied the RJD chief in the air ambulance.
Dr Kameshwar Prasad, superintendent of RIMS who headed the medical board constituted by the government recommended immediate admission of Lalu in AIIMS as his kidney functions were found damaged and his creatinine level reached an alarming 4.7.
Another accused sentenced in fodder scam, R K Rana, a former MLA of RJD, was also rushed to New Delhi as his lungs were found damaged.
