Kolkata: Parents of RG Kar’s victim pledges to continue with their protests even in the New Year till they get ‘justice’ for their daughter.

They even urged the central agency to take her daughter’s friends with whom she had her last dinner in custody for interrogation.

“Why is the CBI not taking my daughter’s friends who had dinner with her in custody for interrogation? Unless pressure is mounted on them, no one will tell the truth,” said the victim’s mother.

The victim’s mother also mentioned that her daughter was killed inside the hospital premises while she was on duty.

“My daughter was not killed on the road but while she was doing her duty. People in the department should be quizzed as no outsider can enter the department and conduct such a heinous crime. Some insiders are definitely involved in the crime,” further mentioned the victim’s mother.

Notably, a candle march was conducted by the doctors and the nurses of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata pledging to continue their fight for ‘Abhaya or Tilottama’.

Aniket Mahata, a protesting junior doctor said, “We have already pledged to get Abhaya justice from the very day when the crime took place on August 9. Today's rally is to remind people that we will continue with our fight.”
