Kerala: Campaigning for the Kerala Elections 2026 has intensified ahead of the high-stakes battle between the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led LDF and the Congress-led UDF. Friendly parties are supporting each other through campaigning.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav also reached the state to support the LDF. Interestingly, in Bihar, Yadav's party is in alliance with the Congress along with Left parties, which together form the Mahagathbandhan.
A video of Yadav is doing the rounds on social media, in which he can be heard addressing in English.
"Even while coming to Kerala, as all of you know, my dad national president of RJD shri Lalu Prasad Yadav ji, is not so well. He has kidney issues, he has heart issues but still my father always told me that never compromise with the fascist forces and social justice."
He also conveyed his father’s greetings to the LDF leaders and the CM, and urged the people to vote for the LDF, which is aiming to script history by securing a third consecutive term.

Kerala will be voting in a single phase on 9 April for its 140-member Assembly, with results to be declared on 4 May.
