A major fire broke out on Tuesday at a building situated near the Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra in Jammu and Kashmir.

The fire is believed to be the result of an electrical short circuit - broke out inside a cash counting room that suffered significant damage but is located some distance away from the main shrine.

However, CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said that the fire has been brought under control.
