Hyderabad: Rapido Rider Beaten To Death By 4 Unidentified People For Allegedly Giving Lift To Woman; Accused Absconding

A 23-year-old Rapido rider was beaten to death in Telangana's capital Hyderabad on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as P Amaresh.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old Rapido rider was beaten to death in Telangana's capital Hyderabad on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as P Amaresh. The incident took place near Lingampalli railway station on the night of June 17.

According to a report published in The Times of India, Amaresh, along with his friend M Ramchander, visited a toddy shop near the railway station. When Amaresh and Ramchander were moving towards an open space, they were reportedly confronted by two women.

The women alleged that Amaresh was giving a bike ride to one of their female family members. The two women then called two men. They started thrashing Amaresh.

The victim fell to the ground and reportedly died on the spot. The police reached the spot after receiving information. The identity of the accused is yet to be ascertained.

A manhunt operation has been launched to nab the accused. The police have started a detailed investigation into the matter.
