New Delhi: A nose pin provided a key lead in the murder of a Delhi woman, 47-year-old Seema Singh. Seema’s body was found in a drain in Delhi almost a month ago. Her husband, Anil Kumar, was arrested by the police in connection with the murder case.
It was suspected that Kumar killed his wife and dumped her body in a drain in Delhi. Seema’s body was found wrapped in a bedsheet. Her body was reportedly tied to a stone and a cement sack. The woman was identified using her nose pin, reported NDTV.
It helped to solve the murder mystery. The police went to the jewellery shop from where the nose pin was bought. Upon enquiring, they found that the nose pin was purchased by Anil Kumar and the bill was also issued in his name, reported the media house. Notably, Kumar is a property dealer in Delhi. However, he lived at a farmhouse in Gurugram.
The police then contacted Kumar. They came to know that Seema was Kumar’s wife. When cops asked about his wife, Kumar told the police that she had gone to Vrindavan without her mobile phone. The police became suspicious of Kumar’s activities.
TCops found out the mobile number of Seema’s mother from Kumar’s Dwarka office. When cops contacted Seema’s family, her sister, Babita, revealed that they had not contacted her since March 11, reported the media house. Babita further told the cops that Kumur told her family that she was in Jaipur and did not want to speak to anybody.
Notably, on April 1, Seema’s family was called to identify her body. Her elder son identified her. Seema was strangled to death. Her family told the police citing the postmortem report. The police reportedly arrested Kumar and his guard Shiv Shankar.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter to find out the motive behind the murder.
