Rohtas: Disturbing visuals surfaced from Bihar's Rohtas district, where a speeding Thar rammed into several people. The incident was caught on CCTV. Soon, the video went viral on social media. One woman lost her life, while three others were injured in the incident.
In the video, it can be seen that the driver of the speeding Thar lost control and hit the people along the roadside. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday, August 3.
The video shows a woman walking on the road when the four-wheeler suddenly came at high speed and hit her. Meanwhile, two people sitting on the roadside were also hit by the vehicle. All the victims were thrown into a ditch. The Thar also plunged into the same ditch.

The video shows that the woman and three other people did not get the time to escape, and the car was travelling at a very high speed. The deceased woman has been identified as Babita Devi, reported ABP News. She was reported to be around 40 years old. Due to the impact of the collision, the woman was flung into the air.
Panic gripped the area after the incident. After hearing the loud voice, locals rushed to the spot. People sitting inside the car also sustained injuries. The injured were taken to a hospital. Police also rushed to the spot.
Locals blocked the highway in protest against the incident. The injured are currently undergoing treatment. It is not known whether the driver of the vehicle was in an inebriated state. As per the report, three people were travelling in the Thar. The driver of the four-wheeler has been taken into custody.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
