Gurugram Administration Prohibits Usage Of 'Drones, Balloon, And Other Flying Objects' Till July 7 Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

The administration issued a notice, listing out low-flying objects which have been prohibited as part of the precautionary measures.

Amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan, the office of Gurugram District Magistrate has prohibited the usage of drones, balloons, and other flying objects till July 7. The administration issued a notice, listing out low-flying objects which have been prohibited as part of the precautionary measures.

The notice stated, "In light of the recent Pahalgam attack (22-04-2025) and rising security concerns, the use of the following is strictly prohibited in Gurugram from 09 May to 07 July 2025 under Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023:  -

-Drones

- Micro Light Aircrafts

- Gliders/Power Gliders

- Hot Air Balloons

- Kite Flying

- Chinese Micro Lights"

Bursting of fireworks & firecrackers have also been prohibited as directed by the notice as it may create panic among people deteriorating law and order situation.

The directive also warned that "Any breach of this order would invite action under section 223 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and other relevant provisions of Law."

 This ban has been implemented under Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 

Meanwhile, blasts were heard and sirens sounded in the Jammu region as the city plunged into darkness for a second consecutive night on Friday. Apart from this, blackout was enforced in several areas of Punjab, including in Ferozepur, Pathankot, Amritsar and Hoshiarpur districts.
