Kanpur: A dramatic video of a girl thrashing a thief with slippers in the middle of the street in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur has surfaced. A mobile thief was fleeing after robbing the phone. While fleeing the robber's vehicle collided with a rickshaw after which he was caught. The robber was fleeing robbing the mobile phone of a student. The incident took place in Kidwai Nagar area.
The student then thrashed the robber with slippers in the middle of a busy road. Notably, another robber who was with him managed to flee from the spot leaving his vehicle behind. In the video the girl can be seen thrashing the thief while he is surrounded by people. Apart from the girl a man also is seen slapping the thief. The man also abuses the thief and says "Tere Ghar mei teri behen nahi hai." Which roughly translates to "Do you not have a sister at home."
Police Action
Police Commissionerate Kanpur Nagar, reacting to the viral video said on micro-blogging website X, "In connection with the matter, necessary legal action has been taken by registering a case at the local police station."
