A post doing the rounds of social media claims that anaesthetics can be life-threatening for COVID-19 vaccinated people.
"Anyone who has been vaccinated against coronavirus is prohibited aganst taking any type of anaesthetic, even a local anaesthetic or one from the dentist, as this poses an extreme risk to the life of the vaccinated person and is highly dangerous. There is a possibility of death. Therefore a vaccinated person must wait four weeks after vaccination and, if he has a reaction, four weeks before he can administer the anaesthetic after producing antibodies," read the post.
"A friend of ours runs a pharmacy, and of their relatives got the vaccine two days ago, went to the dentist yesterday and died immediately after getting a local anaesthetic. After reading the warnings about coronavirus vaccination, we found out that there are warnings not to take anaesthetic after taking the vaccine. Please spread this message to protect your family, relatives, friends, and all," it added.
Meanwhile, Press Information Bureau's (PIB) fact checking arm 'PIB Fact Check' on Wednesday said the the claim is fake.
"The claim is fake. There is NO scientific evidence till date to confirm the claim. Don't fall for misinformation. GET vaccinated," it said.
