Explosions Heard Across Srinagar Hours After Ceasefire Between India & Pakistan: J&K CM Omar Abdullah (VIDEO)

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared the news of explosions being heard across Srinagar even after the ceasefire agreement between both the countries.

Srinagar, May 10: The ceasefire between India and Pakistan has reportedly been violated hours after both countries agreed on Saturday (May 10). Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared the news of explosions being heard across Srinagar even after the ceasefire agreement between both the countries.

Omar Abdullah raised serious question on the ceasefire and said, "What the hell just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions heard across Srinagar!!!"

A video has been shared by ANI on X showing huge explosions being heard in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar and people panicking due to the blasts. A video also shows red streaks and explosions can be heard as India's air defence intercepts Pakistani drones amid blackout in Udhampur.

Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah also shared a video showing Pakistani drones being intercepted by Indian air defence systems. He said, "This is no ceasefire. The air defence units in the middle of Srinagar just opened up."

India and Pakistan agreed to ceasefire on Saturday. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Foreign Secretary shared the news of ceasefire and said that India and Pakistan have agreed on a ceasefire.

US President Donald Trump said that the US mediation led to the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He said, "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

S Jaisahankar said, "India and Pakistan have today worked out an understanding on stoppage of firing and military action. India has consistently maintained a firm and uncompromising stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It will continue to do so."

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said addressing a press conference, "Pakistan's DGMO called Indian DGMO at 15:35 hours earlier this afternoon. It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land, in the air & sea with effect from 1700 hours IST. Instructions have been given on both sides to give effect to this understanding. They will talk again on the 12th of May at 1200 hours."
