Chandigarh: Even as the BJP workers in Punjab and Haryana erupted in celebrations after the party’s win in Delhi election, the party leaders in Punjab including Union minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and state president Sunil Jakhar held after Delhi’s victory, it is now Punjab’s turn to be AAP-free.

Taking a pot shot at Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, the party MP from Ludhiana, Bittu quipped that it was now his (Mann’s) turn to pack the bags. He said on X that Delhi has chosen BJP, and now it's Punjab’s turn! Arvind Kejriwal and his gang of looters have been completely exposed and rejected in Delhi. He has proven to be one of the most corrupt leaders, looting not just Delhi but also Punjab, he alleged.

Punjab BJP general secretary Subhash Sharma said that it is a lesson for leaders of the ruling AAP in Punjab that what they have done to Punjab in the past three years, their condition would be worse than Delhi and that the downfall of AAP government in Punjab begins from today.

Senior party leader and former MP Preneet Kaur also held that the Delhi poll verdict will have an impact in Punjab as the AAP in Punjab kept speaking about its ``Delhi model’’ and what they had promised, they did not keep them.
