New Delhi: AAP MLA and candidate from Okhla Vidhan Sabha, Amanatullah Khan after casting his vote on Wednesday has denied any misconduct despite an FIR from Delhi Police alleging late-night campaigning and accused the administration and Election Commission of "conspiring" together by slowing down the voting process.

" I have cast my vote...we are forming the government in Delhi...the voting was carried out very slowly, administration and Election Commission conspired together, first votes were cut...BJP will come second...it is their job to register FIRs and it is my job to face it," said Amanatullah while speaking to ANI.

Delhi Police have registered an FIR against Khan for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

After the FIR, Delhi Police said that Khan was election canvassing and were violating the Model Code of Conduct put in place for the Assembly elections in the national capital.

Deputy Commissioner of Police South East, Ravi Kumar Singh told ANI, "We received information that election canvassing was going on and MCC was being violated. We found that the information was right. An FIR has been registered against all the people involved." Further, the DCP said that they seized Rs five lakh from two workers of the Delhi government.

"We received a separate complaint yesterday that two people were detained. They were handed over to the Flying Squad Team (FST) and are being interrogated... FST seized Rs five lakh in cash from them. Both of them are Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) workers in Delhi government. Further investigation is underway," DCP Singh said.

The Police took action after a video surfaced where the AAP leader was allegedly seen roaming in his constituency (Okhla) along with his supporters after the campaigning period ended.

The DCP South East Delhi on the official handle on X posted, "In this matter, FIR No 95/25 under section 223/3/5 BNS & 126 RP Act against Amanatullah has been registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar for violating MCC." Meanwhile, voting in the Delhi Assembly elections concluded on Wednesday at 6 pm in all 11 districts of the National Capital Territory.
