Dehradun: The city has been experiencing heavy rainfall in the numerous regions of Uttarakhand as the weather has changed from the mountains to the plains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert. The IMD said that heavy rainfall is predicted in various regions of Uttarakhand, and it will be accompanied by gusty winds, thunderstorms, and lightning. Tourists and residents are advised to be cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.
Rainfall in Dehradun and other regions
On Monday, the minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 23 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. The IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in numerous regions of Uttarakhand, including Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. The weather department has issued an orange alert in these regions. The weather department said that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the hilly districts of the state till August 5.
