Dehradun: Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh on Thursday informed that the driver of the speeding Mercedes car that caused a tragic accident in Uttarakhand's Dehradun, reportedly killing four people and injuring two others on Wednesday has been arrested from near ISBT, and a case has been registered against the accused.

The accused has been identified as Vansh Katyal and will be produced before the court.
The speeding luxury car was coming from Mussoorie towards Dehradun and ran over four labourers and hit a scooter rider. Reportedly, there were around four to five people in the car at the time of the incident and the car had a Chandigarh number plate on it. The incident occurred near the Sai Temple on the Rajpur Road.
Following the accident, the 22-year-old abandoned the car in Sahastradhara and fled the scene.
Accused Confesses That He Was Driving
The accused, Vansh Katyal has confessed that he was driving the Mercedes and it was registered in the name of his brother-in-law Jatin Prasad Verma.
