Amid attacks and counter-attacks from political parties in the run-up to Delhi elections, the Congress party on Thursday, in a press conference, leveled a massive allegation on AAP's top leadership. They released an alleged audio clip of AAP's Narela MLA Sharad Chauhan, in which he claims something about former Delhi chief minister Manish Sisodia.
During the press conference at the DPCC Office, after playing the alleged audio clip, Congress leader Pawan Khera said that the voice heard in the audio is that of Narela MLA Sharad Chauhan.
Khera claimed, "While speaking with someone, he (Sharad Chauhan) is telling that he was sitting with Manish Sisodia when Vijay Nair had brought the liquor policy for discussion."
"He (Sharad Chauhan) asked Sisodia not to implement the scheme. Manish replied that if he does not implement it, then where would the money come from to contest the election?" Khera said during the press conference.
In the audio released by Congress, Sharad Chauhan allegedly claims that AAP contested Goa and Gujarat elections using money from liquor shops, and now they are coming from Punjab.
The AAP MLA allegedly claimed that Sisodia had given him a settlement offer, for which a plan was laid, but fortunately, he escaped.

During the press conference, DPCC chief Devendra Yadav said, "The audio clip played by Pawan Khera shows the extent of social degradation under the AAP government. It was only after a complaint by the Congress that the current AAP government's deputy chief minister and ministers were jailed in connection with the liquor scam. They are now out on bail."
"The image that the AAP government tried to project about its character has turned out to be completely false. The difference between their words and actions is starkly evident. This audio of AAP's current MLA Sharad Chauhan makes it clear how the liquor scam was orchestrated by AAP's top leadership," he added.
