Surat: Class 12 students of Surat's prestigious schools paraded around 35 luxury cars through the streets of the city. The students used drones to record the video soon it went viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place in Surat's Surat's Jahangirpura on February 7. After the video went viral, the city traffic initiated action against the owners of the cars for violating traffic rules
In the reel, which was uploaded on February 7, students dressed in blazers for their farewell could be seen driving luxurious cars with the famous song "Arajan Vally" from the Bollywood movie 'Animal' being played in the background.

The video sparked outrage on social media. Netizens raised questions on the authorities for their lack of action.
Deputy Commissioner of poPoliceDCP) Amita Vanani promised a strict action. "We have reviewed the footage and identified multiple violations. The law will take its course, and necessary action will be taken against those responsible," Vanani said as reported by The Times of India.
The police also visited the school where students study to get details of their parents. Meanwhile, the school's founder Vardan Kabra said that the institution does not endorse such type of activities.
"We have fully cooperated with the police and provided all necessary details. A day before the farewell, we emailed parents and students advising them not to arrive in personal vehicles, even if they held a valid driving licence. Instead, we recommended drop-offs by parents or drivers and even arranged buses. No cars were allowed inside the school premises," Kabra told The Times of India.
DCP (Zone-5) Rakesh Barot told the media house that 26 cars were identified and the police detained 12 of them.
