Ghaziabad: A shocking video of a Ghaziabad Police officer allegedly threatening a woman to file a false rape case against her husband surfaced online. Soon, the video went viral on social media. In the footage, the officer could be heard saying that as soon as a rape case is filed, the person will land in Jail whether he has done anything or not.
The incident reportedly took place at the Sikanderpur Police Station in the Teela Mod area. In the video, the police officer could also be heard using abusive words while having a heated conversation with the woman complainant.
'Kya karwayi karein yeh bta, tu kya karwayi karein. Jayada kanoonchi ban rhi hai (What action will we take, you tell. You are becoming lawyer), the police officer could be heard shouting.
He further added, "Jyada bole jaa rhi hai, ch*t**a samajh rhi hai kya humein (You are talking too much)."

After the video went viral, netizens demanded action against the police officer for threatening the woman complainant with a fake rape case against her husband.
One of the users said, "Filing a rape case has become a Joke now in India. Yet another video which proves it. This officer is saying as soon as rape case is filed, the person will land in Jail whether he has done anything or not."
Meanwhile, another user posted, "This gentleman does not know how to talk to a woman in the garb of uniform, he is also threatening to implicate the woman's husband in a rape case. This gentleman is Vimal Kumar, Sikanderpur Chowki Incharge, Teela Mod Police Station, Ghaziabad."
However, some X users also pointed out the mistake of a woman for pressurising the officer to take action in a matter. "Do not believe everything on internet as shown on it. Peoples r just passing comments without acknowledging whole matter. There more before and after this video kindly note it (sic)," an X user wrote.
So far, there has been no official response from the Ghaziabad Police regarding the entire controversy.
