Chhattisgarh: Mahasamund Panchayat Election Concludes Peacefully With 82.35% Voter Turnout

During the third phase, Mahasamund district witnessed 82.53 percent voter participation, including 83.42 percent male voters and 81.68 percent female voters. Overall, the district's average voting percentage was 82.35 percent.

Mahasamund Collector and District Election Officer, Vinay Kumar Langeh, extended his gratitude to everyone involved in ensuring a peaceful and successful completion of the three-tier Panchayat Election 2025 in Mahasamund district. He acknowledged the cooperation of voters, election officials, security personnel, media representatives, and political parties in the polling process.

In the first phase, voter turnout in Basna and Saraipali stood at 83.80 percent, with male voter participation at 83.70 percent and female voter participation at 83.90 percent. The second phase in Pithora and Bagbahara recorded an average turnout of 80.74 percent, comprising 81.52 percent male voters, 79.99 percent female voters, and 25 percent other voters.

During the third phase, Mahasamund district witnessed 82.53 percent voter participation, including 83.42 percent male voters and 81.68 percent female voters. Overall, the district's average voting percentage was 82.35 percent.

Collector Langeh highlighted the active participation of people from all sections of society, including youth, women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. He commended the district's conscious voters for exercising their franchise and praised the dedication of officers and employees involved in the election process.

Polling teams carried out their duties with integrity and commitment, ensuring compliance with election guidelines. The Collector also recognized the efforts of the District Election Office, returning officers, nodal officers, police personnel, master trainers, sector officers, and officials handling election expenditure. Their collective contributions played a crucial role in the smooth conduct of the elections.

Additionally, he appreciated the media's role in urban body elections, acknowledging their efforts in raising public awareness about the voting process. He emphasized that media coverage significantly contributed to informing and encouraging voters to participate.
