Hindutva ideology supporting groups like Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Chhattisgarh Unit has given a call of statewide 'Bandh' on Saturday.

A joint message circulated by these groups mentioned that entire markets and vehicular activities will remain shut down on July 2 to oppose the brutal killing of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur.

The groups appealed to the local people to support the Bandh call and condemned the heinous offence committed by the attackers who killed Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan's Udaipur Tuesday (June 28).

"We condemn and oppose Islamic terrorism," a member of Bajrang Dal said.

Kanhaiya Lal was brutally beheaded for posting the message in support of Nupur Sharma on social media. The killing has created a wide-range of opposition across the nation. The killing was condemned by people around the country while several states witnessed protests.

BJP also supported the Bandh call.

"All the malls, business activities, and school-colleges will be shut down on that day," Srichand Sundarani, BJP Raipur (Urban) President said.
